World Speed team drivers, Sean Prewett and Dan Decker, will be the the lead drivers for the WSM Super Trofeo squad in 2023. Both drivers have significant open wheel racing results with World Speed, as well as additional motorsports experience.

Prewett first started racing with World Speed in 2007, and in 2008 he secured the SFR SCCA Formula Atlantic Championship. He took a pretty long hiatus from racing, but came back in 2016 and secured a handful of podiums and wins in his limited racing schedule. This past season he ran select events and secured 4th in the Formula Pro USA F3 Championship with 5 podium in 8 events. He placed 3rd in the SFR Formula Atlantic 2 Championship with 5 podiums in 6 events.

Decker has been working towards this series and honing his craft in a variety of racing cars. Dan has experience competing in Radicals, Pro Formula Mazdas, Formula 4, Formula 3, and Spec Boxster racing machines. This past season Dan scored 3rd in the Formula Pro USA F3 Championship with 3 podiums in 9 races. He also secured 2nd in SFR SCCA Formula Atlantic 2 Championship with 5 podiums in 12 events.

Prewett’s co-driver will be Carter Williams. Williams started racing in karts in 2004 at the age of 6. He accumulated many wins and championships before moving into open wheel racing in 2016 with a scholarship from VMB Driver Development. VMB put Carter into the Formula Car Challenge where he won back-to-back championships in 2016 and 2017 driving for World Speed Motorsports. In 2018 he moved to Europe where he competed in the highly competitive Formula Ford National Championship where he got great experience, multiple top fives, and a podium in his rookie year. In 2019 he graduated to British FIA F4 where he scored three wins and six podium finishes. During the formula car part of Carter’s career he secured the VMB Scholarship, was a Team USA Candidate, and was invited to the Mazda Road to Indy Shootout.

Decker is expected to have a rotating cast of co-drivers during the 2023 season but will be running both stints himself on opening weekend.
